Welcome to the EQ2 Origins Wiki!

This server will start in Classic (LU0) with Mid-KoS (LU24) mechanics. It will progress forward slowly.
There will be no spell research.
We restored old art, and old hoods.
All stats do something, like they used to.
All bosses will be original stat/buff packages. No potency, No Crit, No Blue Stats.
No weight. Weight is unfortunately, gone.
We will be able to poll and discuss unlocks before we launch.
There will be a marketplace, but it will be very limited.
This server is on its own depot. Meaning, it cannot be affected by Live, at all. It literally has its own patches, etc
Freeport and Qeynos are back to old school
Old quests are back
No persistant instances, its old school
No subcombines. No shards. No shared XP Debt.

No Krono

Instructions for Rolling RANDOM PAGES back

There are going to be a ton of pages just.. missing. I imported many important ones, but many remain.

Step 1. Browse the contribution history for each page by clicking the 3 dots at the top right.

Step 2. Find a good starting point, hit edit, hit save

Step 3. Outline any anachronisms on a per-page basis as they come up, Just edit in (KoS) for something you identify as nonexistent prior to KoS, etc.

Step 4. Start fixing content and red links. Compare against the main EQ2 Wiki for missing pages, etc. For now, err in favor of the MOST DETAILED PAGE PRIOR TO 2010, because the goal is to be able to eventually toggle between game eras in some way.

Step 5. Verify the page at the top right when it's era accurate and red links have been resolved.

Note: Anything beyond DOV should be removed entirely. It will likely never exist on any iteration of Origins.

Instructions for Rolling ABILITIES Back

Many pages were converted to automatically utilize imports from the Census API. Some templates are damaged, and some things are going to have to be massaged into working properly. I have selected an era-accurate spell template, for the most part, but the migration of spells back to their original pages is going to be challenging.

Step 1. Select a spell from a class page that has been rolled back.

Step 2: Roll the page back to September 2007 AT THE LATEST (Specifically for T5. For T6/7 it's prior to the "Rename" in 2009) unless research determines a more era-accurate version

Step 3: Identify which name the spell is supposed to have (Match the level to the level in the Spell Tier mini window)

Step 4: Move the page to that page title. DO NOT LEAVE A REDIRECT BEHIND when moving pages WITHOUT ROMAN NUMERALS.

(For example: Crusade II was named Pious Belief in 2007. Move it back to Pious Belief. You can leave a redirect for this. But not for basic Crusade.)

Step 5: Once the page is good to go and doesn't look totally busted, verify it at the top right. If the Spell Template isn't found, that's unfortunate and can't be fixed yet.

Instructions for VERIFYING PAGES

The "Verify Pages" Script was approved and applies across the wiki. You'll often see it at the top right of the page.

Do not verify pages unless you have confidently rolled them back to 2006-2010 status, fixed all the links, and clearly outlined anything anachronistic.

Very special thanks to https://eq2.fandom.com/ for providing the basis of the structure here, despite being a totally massive pain to deal with :D
